Mr. Tallyhiggs has lost his spectacles—he must have, because there is no other excuse to be trouncing through the strawberry patch with such a terrible scowl on his face.

Sometimes I worry that people might take me too seriously.

This character goes back a few years, to highschool. First he was a sketch then I turned him into a giant cardboard sculpture, and I’ve always thought he was funny looking so I decided to make a proper painting. It didn’t take long; three days of working here and there between classes, homework, and everything else.

Photoshop 7.0. Crits welcome despite the silliness. It’s my first try at painting with a cartoonish style, so I could use some pointers.
